Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

That was the last episode I have seen too @outlander. They haven't had any new ones on after that. I did hear they are tapping the last season now and then finishing the show

Wow, hun that big news and a big decision on whether to have the test or not. I guess you have to decide on whether you want to know the results and what that would mean for you in the future. It is not a small decision to make. I guess you have to go with you heart and decide what would be best for you.

Re: My special place

So good to see you @Snowie, and glad you got to speak to your counsellor for that extra support you needed.

Hugs

And hugs for you too @outlander. That is a hard decision to make. Maybe list the pros and cons ? Sometimes seeing things in black and white can help us identify what to prioritise and why .....

Re: My special place

aww no! they cant finish it!!! @Snowie we might have to look for another tv show to add on to bbt!

yeah, it is a big decision. theres both upsides and downsides. there will be an invasive ultrasound, and then bloods and possibly another test so i guess its 3 tests all up but they only really need one to confirm. its pretty scary, it isnt curable but the symptoms might be more manageable with medications. i trust my nurse which is why im leaning more towards doing it even though its not ideal, though neither choice seems ideal. i have to speak to gp in 2 weeks as she orders everything and for a med review as well until i can see pdoc.

neither choice seems ideal @Faith-and-Hope but i am leaning towards doing the tests, at least it might give me answers to why things are/arent happening...

Re: My special place

@outlanderplease don't feel like you are taking over here. Honestly it is helping me a bit. To talk to you and not about myself always helps.

I am glad you trust your nurse hun, it seems like she has your best interest at heart. I know you cannot chnage the outcome, but if you can manage you symptoms better then it might be worth having the tests then. Remember we will be right next to you helping you through it.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

Re: My special place

thanks sis
its rather scary, i think it might be better to do the tests just have to get the courage to talk about it with the gp. my nurse i trust, gp not so much. my nurse has been with me since yr 11 so about 6 yrs now on and off.
i wish you guys were really with me!

hi sis @Sans911 i seen you pop up too how are you going?

Re: My special place

@outlandercould the nurse talk to the gp about it for you, or perhaps she could be in the appointment with you if you feel like you cannot bring it up with the gp yourself.

I wish I was really with you too. There is a young girl in the DBT group who is really nice. When I see her I think of you!

Re: My special place

sorry im cooking too @Snowie

i dont see my nurse for another 4 weeks so ill see my gp first. i might be able to ask and see if i can make my appt with my nurse earlier and see if she can give me a hand. the gp comes in there anyway, its for medicare purposes etc so its free.

aww that is so sweet
