Sounds like a lot is happening for you at the moment. How long will your MIL be in hospital for?

Also, are you doing ECT as an outpatient? I hope you find a way to do what works for you @Snowie

Not sure how long MIL will be in hospital for. She was meant to have a procedure two days ago and is still waiting for it to happen. They said this afternoon, but not holding my breath.

Went and visited her today. She seems a little better than when she was admitted so at least that is something good.

I've been having ECT as an outpatient since I was admitted last time. So for quite awhile now. I've been having it once a month. My pdoc calls it 'maintenance ECT'.

My pdoc says to continue it but I really don't know if it's helping. Maybe it might be that I've got so much else happening that my MH isn't great at the moment. At the same time, I'd hate to stop it and end up back in hospital.

Hearing you @Snowie . I hear that it's nott fun right now and that there's so much going on for you.

What do you think will help? Do you have any ideas at all?

I really don't know what will help @tyme I just know that I can't see things changing for quite awhile. Unfortunately it is sometimes just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens. It is hard when we feel like we have no control over what is happening.

I will just continue to go to my appointments and hopefully be able to get some more support in place (I spoke to Carers Australia who can hopefully give me some support and ideas)

Since getting home after ECT and visiting MIL I intend to get into my pj's, snuggle up on the couch under my weighted blanket and taking it easy for the rest of the day/night.

You know what? If geting into your PJs and snuggling up is all you can do tonight, go for it!

It is so cold here, I've cranked up the heater.

I'm trying to not think any further than tonight at the moment. Just trying to give my brain a time out. The couch is comfy, except that the dog is taking up most of it!!

It's the perfect temperature for a warm fire @Snowie . It's so cold here.

We don't have an open fire @tyme so the heater will have to do. Where we go for skiing does. It's so nice just to sit and watch the fire. Something very soothing about it.

Not sure how long I will last anyway. The bed is calling out to me!!
