My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

H's mum had a heart attack Wed morning. Luckily her partner was home (he was meant to be at work) and started CPR before ambulance arrived and they continued it until MICA got there. Lucky too that he had done a CPR course. They managed to get her heart going again.

She is in ICU under meds to keep her asleep. They operated and had some blockages. They are not sure how long brain didn't have oxygen, so not sure how or if she will wake up. She is hooked up to so many machines. Going to start the wake up process tomorrow and see how it goes. She made it through last night so they said that was her first hurdle.

Have been at the hospital yesterday and today and of course will be there again tomorrow. We have been talking to her, hoping in some way she is hearing us or know we are there.

At this stage it is just hour by hour. We are just hoping that she is still with us.

Been a few big days with little sleep. Now home, hoping sleep comes a little easier tonight.

Went and visited H's mum after ECT this morning.

They are slowly waking her up and she is responding. They are asking her to squeeze their hands and she can do that which is a good sign. She seems to know when we are in the room too, which is great. She is still having lots of meds which of course make her very drowsy, so can only sit there for about 20 mins before she zones out again. Only allowed two relatives in the room at a time too. The best thing for her is rest atm.

She has 3 broken ribs from the CPR. There is also a big chance of her having to have another heart surgery.

But at this stage any progress is good.

Just really tired.
