Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

I'll just have aircon, pool and be chilling @Snowie

The pool makes such a difference. And solar panels means we can use air con as much as we want.

Re: My special place

@rav3n I think it is a lot like the community here. It is easier to talk to someone who has gone through similar things that you have. They understand better and you don't have to explain yourself as much. It's easy to talk to her as she knows what I'm going through.

Getting a MHCP was a big step, especially as she doesn't believe in psych's. Not sure what changed her mind but will just go with it,

It is hard when they are both working but it's good for them to earn their own money.

No pool here @tyme but a good air con so that helps.

Going to head to bed. Today's been a big one. Thanks to you both for the company tonight, it has really helped.

Re: My special place

So set a few goals for the new year. One was trying to read more.

Reading is something I used to love before my mental illness, so want to try and get back into it.

I have been saving some money and brought myself an ereader yesterday. Have spent the morning downloading books onto it. Luckily my D has one herself and showed me how to download books for free!! (Kids and the technology they use!)

Hopefully I can make good use of it.

Also with going overseas trying to sort out my meds. I need to get copies of my prescriptions and a letter from the doctor. Might not need them but better to be prepared.

It's actually been ok @Eve7

Very much a 'no people' day today. Was able just to stay in my own little shell.

Re: My special place

hey @Snowie just read that you got a new ereader, so cool!! any particular books/genres you're keen to start reading? oh and when are you heading overseas?

Re: My special place

Hi @rav3n

Yep brought an ereader. Have downloaded about 40 books onto it. That should last me awhile!!

D taught me how to get books for free!! That was better than paying for them.

Most of the books are either on WW2 or biographies. I really like those topics, but will read mostly anything.

We are heading overseas on the 6th Feb.

Had a really bad night last night. Woke about 1:30am and ended up throwing up a few times, lots of stomach pain and struggled to sleep. Not sure if it was something I'd eaten or something else.

Could eat today normally, just really tired.
