Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

I'm tired @creative_writer Not a lot of sleep again last night.

Got a lot done this morning which was good. Been shopping this afternoon and just hanging out on here from the comfort of my couch!!

No word yet about hospital or approval.

How is your day going?

Re: My special place

@Snowie it sounds like you’ve had a productive day so far despite not getting much sleep. I hope you hear from them soon.

Do you have plans for the rest of today?

My day has been better. I got some studying done, but not as much as I would have preferred. Also rung SANE helpline this morning

Re: My special place

It was productive @creative_writer I dropped S at school and then got as much done as I could.

No plans for the rest of the day. Was going to bake something else but not much motivation.

You got some studying done hon. Might not have been a lot, but you got some done. Be proud of that. I hope the helpline helped. I've rung them in the past and found it helpful.

Have you ever done the Sane Guided Service through Sane?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I think it’s important to acknowledge you got a lot done despite not feeling the best. I wouldn’t stress if you can’t bake.

It did help to talk. I’m really awful with calling helplines and reaching out for support from others. The forums are an exception, I feel like I’m able to reach out here. I am with the Guided Service right now. This is my second time joining, I did find it helpful the first time around

Re: My special place

Glad you are with the Guided Service @creative_writer I really hope it is making things at least a little easier for you.

I tend to leave calling someone to the last minute, when I am really in distress. I probably need to call a little earlier. I'm glad it helped to talk.

Re: My special place

@Snowie I hope it helps too. I thought it would be good to have support since I’m not currently seeing my psych, I’m not sure if I’m ever going to go back to her. I’ve lost that connection.

I’m the same, I tend to reach out when things are bad. It’s hard to reach out when I don’t want to be a burden or worry others

Re: My special place

I think we all think that @creative_writer not wanting to be a burden, others have it worse, don't want to clog up the helplines. It's hard sometimes to shift that mindset. To see that we deserve the help as much as others do. I know I'm one of those people that don't want to bother someone else.

It's a great way of having support, especially when you don't have a psych. Maybe it's time to look for a new psych, especially if you have lost that connection. It took me a few try's before I found the psych I'm seeing now.

Have you got anything planned for this evening?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I often feel others have it worse than me, probably from a lifetime of invalidation.

Is it possible to find a psych whom you can feel emotionally safe with? I’ve never been able to, I don’t know if that’s just a me thing.

Not much here. Will have dinner, wind down. Do regular stuff like prayers, skincare and maybe some 8D and/or other relaxation activities. I find 8D music way more relaxing than normal music. What are your plans for the evening?

Re: My special place

@creative_writer I do think that there is a psych out there for all of us. Sometimes we have to weed through others to find them. I also think that it is something that comes with time. It took me awhile to feel comfortable and safe with the psych I have now. That trust isn't just given, it has to be earned.

Sounds like you have your evening planned.

I'm just about to have a shower, tea and then bed. Think that's the best for me tonight.
