Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Hi @Snowie , glad you could see your pdoc in person. That's a huge decision to have to make. Good luck with it...

I hope your D has a great birthday today 🙂

Hi @Snowie I hope you are doing well 💖. Sorry I haven’t spoken to you much lately

Re: My special place

So I spoke to my pdoc this morning. He had rung my psych before hand and spoke to her. My psych told him exactly where I am mentally and what I've been doing.

He gave me the choice of being admitted voluntarily or a forced admission. Didn't give me another choice. Naturally I said I would rather voluntarily go in. His done the paperwork and sent it off, So now it's just a waiting game.

Next step is telling the kids and my mum. Somehow with mum I don't think it will go down well.

@creative_writer no need to be sorry hon @creative_writer You need to put yourself first and do what is right for you.

How are you going?

Re: My special place

Sorry to hear it’s been rough @Snowie. An admission is hard. I hope letting your family know goes okay and that the admission helps you in your healing 💖🫂

Not great, I probably have diagnosable OCD at this point, but I’m not in a crisis.

Re: My special place

I'll be having ECT 3 times a week whilst in there @creative_writer so I'm hoping that helps.

Sorry to hear things aren't great. How is your course going?

Re: My special place

@Snowie you’ve been through a lot and for so long😔. I wish I could do something to make it easier. I hope ECT does provide you some relief 💖🫂

It’s week one in second semester, I’m done at the end of November, it’s a shortened and more intensive semester. It’s okay so far

Re: My special place

Hey @Snowie ,

Sorry to hear it is so hard. 3 ECT sessions a week? Isn't that a lot? I thought there is a limit on how often you have it?

I can see your team are worried about you. Please look after yourself.

We are here if you want a chat.

Re: My special place

@creative_writer I really hope this semester goes well for you.

@tyme I've had it 3 times per week before. Where I go, they only do it that often if you are an inpatient.

I know my supports are worried. Have been scaring myself lately.
