Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@lavenderhaze I had eggs and leb bread and I forgot to eat my cucumber, it was meant to be part of my lunch, I guess I'll eat it now. What did you have?

@Snowie nothing wrong with caffeine in moderation. I can't have too much or I'll get a migraine. Glad to hear it's been easier for you lately with getting things done, it makes a huge difference when you are able to be productive

Re: My special place

Those thoughts are still there @creative_writer but at least they are not overpowering. They feel like they can be contained. Sometimes this is the difference between living and surviving.

So whilst I feel this way, I will try and live.

How is your afternoon going?

Re: My special place

@Snowie if they're less intense, it is still a win. I know it's still hard though.

Having some trauma body sensations, but it's not super bad and I don't feel really stressed, I'm probably just too detached from it right now, I don't know if that's a good or bad thing

Re: My special place

Sometimes being detached is a good thing @creative_writer I know it doesn't make us deal with things but at least we are getting a rest from it all.

Doesn't make things any easier however when we do have those sensations however.

@Snowie
My mood is plummeting 😔

Are you up to much this evening?

Re: My special place

I'm sorry about your mood @creative_writer

Is there some self care you could do or something to distract yourself?

I'm just doing some sewing on D's costumes for her Dancing.

Keeping me nice and busy in between cooking tea.

Whats for tea at your house?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I went to a uni drop in and had dinner. What are you having for tea?

Re: My special place

That sounds interesting @creative_writer

Got you out of the house which was good. Have you got people there you know?

We had chicken curry, vegies and rice. Nice and easy to make.

Re: My special place

@Snowie it was an assignment drop in, turns out more than half of us applied for extensions, so the unit coordinator scheduled drop ins if we have questions. It was over zoom, so I just made myself look presentable without even changing. I wasn't going to study otherwise. It's a struggle to pay attention during this time of day, it's very frustrating. Even self care feels hard, too much clatter and noise in my mind.

Your tea sounds lovely. We had pepper chicken, veggies and brown rice.

Re: My special place

Oh ok, over zoom. Well at least you didn't have to leave the comfort of home @creative_writer

When D was doing school via zoom in covid she used to do it in her pj bottoms and school top!!

Could you do something to try and ease the clatter. I find listening to classical music helpful when my mind is really busy. I find it slows down things. It doesn't always help but sometimes it does.

Have you got any plans for tomorrow?
