Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Thanks @Jynx, I truly hope so. This last month has to be worth it. I don't want to get out the same as when I came in.

Even if I can't see it, I would probably tell the pdoc things are improving. I am itching to get out.

Re: My special place

@Snowie if your need to be home could be creating extra emotional dysregulation maybe results will improve even more once you're home? But also I hope you don't have to feel the need to be hide or make it seem like you're doing better than you are. Tricky line to walk, for sure - but I trust you to know what is best for you, and like you say the treatments can still continue after you're home.

Re: My special place

I think being home will help @Jynx and the ECT sessions will definitely continue. Pdoc has said once a week for awhile and then take it to once per fortnight. He described it as slowly tapering off instead of coming to an abrupt end. I can understand that.

Hoping to see kids on Saturday so hoping that lifts my mood too.

Yes in person @Jynx I get more time out on weekends so can spend a few good hours with them.

Got some good news today too. D applied for a scholarship for uni through Bendigo bank. Had to sit an interview the other day. Got it today. $20,000 over 4 years. Super proud Mamma here!

@Snowie Aww congrats! That's huge! I imagine your D must be over the moon!

Re: My special place

She is over the moon @Jynx it will help her out so much. She rang this morning to tell me. I told her then just how proud of her I was. She did all of this whilst I was in hospital too.

Sometimes we can forget to tell them just how proud we are of them.

Aww @Snowie and I bet it meant the world to her as well 😊 I know it always makes me all giddy inside to hear that from my folks 💜

Sorry to hear this, @Snowie 😢 And that the ECT doesn't help the flashbacks.

And that's great news about your D's scholarship!

Hoping your ECT session this morning goes well. Sending lots of care 💙
