My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Saw my psych via telehealth this morning. Now I don't see/talk to her for about 5 weeks until I am out of hospital. Would have been nice to still be able to talk to her whilst in there. I guess I will just have to rely on the pdoc and the nurses in there.

Had the appt. with Mum this afternoon. Went for about 1.5 hours. Was with a nurse who asked a lot of questions for mum and myself. She got herself so upset for not being able to answer questions or do things that the nurse asked her to do. The lady was lovely about it however. I think she has had to do this quite a number of times. Now this information get's passed onto a specialist who we have to have an appointment with. At least a 4-5 month wait for that appointment now.

Was an hour away so I had two good hours in the car with her. She made it clear that my admission wont help, ect just makes things worse and that my meds are just damaging my brain 😔

Spoke to admissions again this afternoon. Was as honest as I could. She said I would be going into a normal ward which means if the doc approves it I can have some leave during the day. With the amount of prn I've had today I think I really don't have a choice. I don't like admitting it however.

Now to get through tonight. My brain is going a million miles and hour. Thanks if you have read this far.

Thinking of you @Snowie and I’ll be here to support you every day.

How dare your mother say all that to you with all you do for her! It’s hard enough to go into hospital without having that dumped on you.

I’m so sorry you were confined in the car with her for 2 hours. Surely a bit of motherly understanding could have come from her.

Lots of love hon 💙

Re: My special place

Thanks @Eve7

I don't expect nothing less of her, she has/will always be like that.

How are you? How has your day been?

Re: My special place

@Snowie oof, yeah I'm with @Eve7 - deeply unfair of your mum to make those comments, as if it isn't already challenging enough to take these steps! Does it tend to get to you, or are you able to ignore it somewhat? It's your mind, your body, your decision in the end.

Is there anything that you feel could be helpful in helping you get through tonight? Here for you hun 💜

Re: My special place

@Jynx I can ignore it to an extent. I just try and zone her out. She has always been very judgmental of me from an early age so I was expecting it. If she starts on about my kids then that is my breaking point. That is where I start to fight back.

Going to go over to PGC for awhile. Will be a good distraction.

Re: My special place

I'm glad you can ignore it as best you can @Snowie - I imagine that even though you're used to it, it can still sting at times. Especially if it's about your little ones! That would get my fire going too I imagine, though I only have fur babies 😅

I hope PGC is a good time for ya hun! 💜

Re: My special place

Thanks @Eve7 so much paper work.

Was a good girl and handed all my meds over. Have some leave which is good so can get some fresh air.

Just waiting to see pdoc.

I hope you have a nice weekend, you deserve it.

Re: My special place

Hey @Snowie we’re inpatient buddy’s….

hope you settle in ok and have bought in some things to make it as comfy as possible. Glad to read that you get some leave! I just went downstairs for some fresh air with my support worker…. But then my nurse called me concerned cause she couldn’t find me and it was time for my thiamine infusion and asked me to come back!
