@Eve7 thinking of you today on your anniversary, hard day I understand. Hope you have something planned to remember in a nice way.

@Snowie glad that you are able to reach out to your pdoc. Hope today is a better day for you. I’m around all day.

Those anniversaries certainly don't get any easy @Eve7 I hope you are able to do something nice. Maybe even with S2.

@creative_writer I guess doing at least a little better is something, but it still doesn't erase it all.

It is hard opening up, letting that guard down that we have perfected for so many years. I hope it becomes beneficial for you.

Got little sleep last night. Regretting what I have agreed to now.

I feel bad writing this post as others have it much worse.

Today is not going well. My pdoc wants me in earlier but I can't. My mum has been waiting since July last year for an appt. with the dementia clinic. How do you put someone else's need above yours.

Unfortunately not @Eve7 Her sister lives about 7 hours away and isn't the type to offer. If it was for her benefit she would do it however.

I’m sorry this is falling on you to do @Snowie Maybe your mother needs an aged care assessment and some services.

My day has been a struggle.

She has a few services in place @Eve7 She has a cleaner come in once a week and they have put rails and things like that in place as she is not really steady on her feet. She is stubborn however and won't use a walking stick. A lot is riding on this assessment to see what other supports she can get.

I know she needs my support and I am happy to give her the support she needs, but it just makes looking after 'me' harder to do so. I'm also worried where they will put me when they do a risk assessment.

Did I read you’ve just got braces on your teeth? I spent a fortune on my teeth a few years ago getting implants, crowns and bridges. I had it all done locally as I was too scared to get it done overseas. You won’t regret having your teeth fixed.

Im home now, just lying under the fan and trying not to take prn. We had breakfast out this morning before driving home and S2 did some fishing early today.

I just have so many dark thoughts going around my head and I can’t contain them much longer.

Yes just got braces on my teeth @Eve7 I need crowns and veneers but needed to straighten them up first. On mushy food at the moment. Lots of mashed potato and pumpkin!!

I'm sorry about those dark thoughts hon. They can be really hard to contain especially when they are constantly there. It makes them so hard to ignore. A psych told me once to put them in a safe, put them in the basement and lock them away. If only it was that easy.

Do you have anyone with you at all?

How long will you have braces @Snowie? I must admit my smile is much better.

S2 is here with me “minding me” as I’m not supposed to be alone although I think he may get be asleep in the air con.
