My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

I think one of the reasons I don't go out a lot @creative_writer is because I hate social interactions. If I see someone I know I normally turn in the other direction to try and avoid them. Even interacting with the dentist today was too much.

I am very much an introvert with no friends.

Even with my supports I struggle which is why I write things down and give it to them. That way I don't have to verbalise it.

I think baby steps are indeed needed.

@Snowie, I wonder if it’s a trauma response too. I’m introverted so I need my space to. I’ve found trauma has made me less trusting of others and when I’m around others I feel disconnected (as a means of self-protection) so socialising feels pointless if it’s hard to get much out of it.

I also find writing easier than speaking. I’ve wondered if that was because of my ASD, maybe it’s also anxiety related, not sure. I think some of us are better at writing than speaking

I do think it has a lot to do with our trauma @creative_writer Even the lack of trust we give someone. Amongst all the people in my life, I could count on one hand who I have actually trusted.

Writing certainly is easier.

@Snowie, I am happy to hear you had some people you could trust. I’ve struggled to trust people my whole life, even now, there may be selected people I trust more, but I trust no one fully. At this point trusting someone fully feels impossible. The thing with relationships is that they come with risks. You can never really find those safe people by taking no risks, it’s hard

I totally agree with you @creative_writer By opening up and trusting someone we can get hurt in the process. And that is scary.

Will be signing of now and head to PGC. I hope you can get some sleep tonight and tomorrow is a brighter day.
