Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Dear @Snowie , I've just discovered on another thread that 2 services now have a 24/7 online chat!

Lifeline 24/7 Webchat and BeyondBlue 24/7 Webchat ! Did you know? I know you've been looking for something like this...

Hi @NatureLover

Thanks for that information. I didn't realise that the chat was 24/7. I think that will help people a lot.

Did some retail therapy this morning with D. Was nice to get out with her. She has officially finished school now, had her last exam last week.

Might have brought another book today!🤦‍♀️

I started reading a new book last night. Another biography.

I hope today is going well for you hon.

Sending love 💗💗

Re: My special place

She likes it more when I pay for things @Bow!!

I am reading a book called Becoming Free Indeed by Jinger Vuolo. It's about faith and fear.

No worries, it's good news, isn't it!

Your retail therapy sounded good, especially the book 😄

Re: My special place

Well I had my psych appointment with the psych and hubby today.

My psych talked about how hubby can help (push) me to get out more often. She suggested just starting with a 10 min walk each day which I reluctantly agreed too. Doesn't seem hard on paper, but in real life it terrifies me.

They seemed to have a good conversation. I just sat there trying to hide my anxiety and felt like at stages I was just a third wheel.

Don't get me wrong, I am lucky to have a husband that is so supportive, but sometimes I just want to curl up on my bed and ignore the rest of the world.

That was the whole session gone. So no chance to talk to her about what has been happening this week.

Spent the rest of the day hiding from the world and myself.

Re: My special place

Kudos to you for going to your appointment @Bow, I am so proud of you for taking those little steps to feeling better.

I came across this quote today and felt the need to share it.

I hope coming here makes some difference in finding a positive way forward.

I didn't want to show up

It is un-nerving when someone else comes into my space. Thats what happened today.

Re: My special place

Oh that sounds a bit rough @Snowie …. Having your whole appointment taken up with stuff that you didn’t necessarily want to discuss! I would have walked out of that appointment fuming and so disappointed. That’s a lot to carry until your next appointment.

I can understand how something relatively easy on paper can actually be really hard… that’s me every day with my eating. All you can do is try. Is there somewhere safe that you would prefer to walk to? Somewhere perhaps a little familiar? Or even somewhere you can go and then treat yourself to a cuppa? That sometimes makes things a little easier for me when I know I’ll get a chai latte at the end. My favourite at the moment is an iced chai from McDonald’s.

I wanna go hide from the rest of the world now.
