Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

No need to apologise @Captain24

I hope the shower warms you up a bit.

I hope you enjoy dinner out. Saves cooking.

Re: My special place

Im showered, dressed and ready @Snowie. Im not hungry at all. I’ve eaten so much in the past few days.

What’s for tea at your house?

Re: My special place

You should be able to eat what you want on holidays @Captain24!!

I cooked chicken stir fry with rice. Quick, easy and everyone will eat it.

Where are you going for tea?

Re: My special place

Certain things are making that hard @Snowie.

Chicken stir fry sounds good. I usually do it with satay or the chicken and cashew packet from woollies.

Re: My special place

No doubt it does @Captain24

I used a Satay sauce with the stir fry, straight out of the jar!!

Re: My special place

Everything I use is straight out of a jar @Snowie!

I can make anything with mince. I add my own stuff into it and I can make carbonara sauce from scratch. But that is my some total of cooking!

Even doing a roast I have to ask google for help!! Needless to say I don’t do it very often.

If I had kids they’d be very hungry!

Re: My special place

Nothing wrong with straight out of a can @Captain24!!

I would class myself as a good cook. I think I take after my Nan with cooking. She was great.

Kids and hubby don't complain!

Re: My special place

One thing I can make that I think is technical @Snowie. An old fashion Christmas cake. It’s my great grandmother’s recipe! It doesn’t quite taste the same as hers but I use an electric oven and she used a fuel stove.

I hope you pass your cooking skills on to your kids. I grew up with meat and 3 veg. So I never learnt anything.

Re: My special place

I have a few recipes from my Nan also @Captain24

I have some of her old cook books which I still use.

She made the most amazing choc chip cookies. I now make them for my kids.

I've never made a christmas cake. Maybe I should try this year.

I grew up with meat and 3 veg too.

Re: My special place

@Captain24no doubt you are out for tea.

I hope it goes well.

Thanks for keeping me company.

I can't say what I want to so might be better to just keep quiet.

Take care of yourself and have a good time away
