Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@outlander it can get difficult at times.

Hi @GezzaP hope your day is going well

@tyme feel like I am living of prn at the moment. Sorry about your niece upsetting you. I hope your day is going ok.

Re: My special place

Hey @GezzaP , no stress at all. We welcome you 🙂

Yes, I am the Community Lead on the forums. I work on the forums.

I won't say I'm a 'sufferer', but yes, I've had my own fair share of complex mental health challenges. I was a member on the forums for years, and found them so incredibly helpful for my mental health as I was able to connect with others. Nowadays, I live quite comfortably with my mental health. If anything, I'm larger than life now. But it wasn't always the case.

I am so grateful for my forums family here - including you!

Hey @Snowie , I remember a time when I needed a lot of PRN. And that's ok. That's what was needed at that time. It doesn't mean it will be like that forever.

Take it slowly and steadily.

Hugs

Re: My special place

@tyme I'm trying to limit myself to a certain amount per day.

The days seem to be dragging on.

Ended up watching the footy last night. Good game. Are you into AFL or more rugby?

Re: My special place

Makes sense @Snowie . It's good to limit yourself.

As for footy vs rugby, I'm neither lol. Not my cup of tea.

Re: My special place

Was brought up watching footy and going to games almost every week @tyme I guess it was engrained into me!

We are going to an Ice Hockey match next weekend. Taking the kids too. Hopefully it will be good to watch.

Re: My special place

Sometimes the best thing to do is walk away @tyme sometimes have to disengage. When they’re in that irritating mind set they will do anything to “win” better to wait till the next day then talk to them about their attitude etc. talk to her about the consequence may be ie some sort of punishment if she does that but rewards for better behaviour.

It’s hot here. The next few days are suppose to be 34 🥵🥵🥵 I won’t get a chance to get my walk in till Wednesday but if it’s that hot I won’t.

Re: My special place

I'm going camping with the kids a few days @outlander @Snowie . That's a few days with the kids.

But yes, last night, I just walked off on her. The behaviour was atrocious.

And @Snowie , I don't mind watching the games. I'll do it if I have to, but unlike you, I didn't grow up watching it. Sport was not the top of the list for me.

Re: My special place

@tyme I managed to do several things today: showered and washed hair, watered garden, went to shops and cooked lunch. Right now I’m on facebook and playing computer games on phone. Waiting for my sister to answer my text message. Hoping she will respond. Tonight I will watch the AFL final. Feeling a bit depressed. Have been feeling depressed for about a week since I was trying to stop smoking. Lasted 48 hours before I had a lapse. Frustrated at myself for feeling depressed.
