Something’s not right

Re: Update and safety plan thread.

Re: Update and safety plan thread.

@moderators Why can't I see the above thread listed under the Something's wrong forum? I can go to it directly via my mail link but not from the thread list. Have I done something wrong?...might be a little paranoid here, lol, but curious to know. I sent a message via email but no reply so far so I thought I would ask here.

Hi @Lemonjuice

Thanks

Re: Update and safety plan thread.

@SleepyPanda I just noticed the words 'for review' in the link. I'm in trouble...principal's office?

That had better not be 'she's a nutcase...call the men in white coats on her' review cause I will sign off then.

Now I'm panicking! Breathe!

Re: Update and safety plan thread.

Hey @Lemonjuice, I'm guessing that there might have been an accidental rule-break in one or more of the posts in that thread, and as a result the mods have had to take the thread to a hidden space on the forums while they identify what they're going to do with the thread.

It will probably mean a follow-up email to the participants involved, but rest assured it won't be anything scary or real-world-confronting.

Haha, no white coats, though not sure why it says under review, don't worry, slow deep breaths!.

Re: Update and safety plan thread.

@SleepyPanda Thank goodness! Could you please check for me why that is. Did I go too far with all the suicide talk?

Hi @Lemonjuice

I think your post is being reviewed because we are concerned for your safety.

Are you feeling okay, are you safe?

Re: Update and safety plan thread.

@SleepyPanda I can't answer that to be honest because it depends on the moment you are asking me. The suicidal plan or threat is lessening because of the safety plan and I am trying to do things to keep myself busy. I'm going to have to self-harm in it's place but it's a small price to pay for not suiciding. I'm trying my best.

They can't trace me through the forums...I know they can from phones but not the forum! I know that attempting suicide will get me in trouble but self-harm won't mean services will be called? It's nothing...lot's of people self-harm. Breathe!

Do you have someone you can speak to right now?
If not, we know some really helpful services. Unfortunately, we are not a crisis service, but some places you can call now for support are;

Lifeline: 13 11 14 or Crisis Chat
Suicide call back service: 1300 659 467 or online counselling
Beyondblue: 1300 22 4636 or web chat
Mensline: 1300 78 99 78 or online counselling
If in immediate danger: 000

Sometimes when people use the phrases such as you have said in your post, are having suicidal thoughts. These types of thoughts can be really scary and overwhelming – but they are thoughts that do not need to be acted upon. If you are having these types of thoughts, it’s really important to speak with someone.

If you are feeling suicidal, it’s really important to call one of the numbers above. You don’t deserve to go through this alone.
