Supporting a partner in a crisis

Supporting a partner in a crisis

hi everyone, i really don't know where else to turn, this is the first time i have bene on the carers forum, my partner is suicidal and she almost made an attempt 2 days ago, she had to change meds because of the warf strike preventing her meds comming into aus, and the ones she is on now have made her really unwell, she can't make phone calls and she is scared of police comming to her house. i have tried contacting so many people to get her into a MHU, i have talked her into going volintarily, but their is no way that i can find to get her their.

please help

Jacques

@Jacques So good to hear life is steady and not too bad. Flu is a nuisance but we get thru it.

Re: Supporting a partner in a crisis

@Jacques How are your hands. Are you able to do any of your models or other interest?

We are not too bad. His gf came over last weekend and they are both singing in one of my choirs and both singing in an opera. So that seems a good balance.

The nittygritty of MH stuff is being worked through.

Re: Supporting a partner in a crisis

my hands are stil shaking to much for me to work on any fine model work, it breaks my heart i can't do them much anymore, i really do want to get back into it, but i just can't.

i spend most of my time now on the computer, doing various things, and im helping a friend run a gaming server.

im glad things are going good with the three of you, it makes me happy to hear that.

yes the MH stuff is so tedious and frustrating, but we all need to work through it and find strength each and every day

Re: Supporting a partner in a crisis

yes @Former-Member im walking every day, even when i have the flu, i have also joined my partner in not drinking coke, so we are on a real health kick at the moment, my partner is being put under a lot of pressure to lose weight by her psych, i think it is really unethical, but im supporting her in her decision
