Go n see ur local ombosman. He's free n responsible for his constituents. He's ur local member of parliament. When it comes to the privacy act n based on what you've said. We r all entitled to see our records. I'm assuming they r ur medical records. Lawyers work by the hour I'm afraid. It will probably continue to get more expensive I'm sorry to say. I wish I had better news to offer but when I did what you r doing now for a totally different matter I was shown the records yes but the information I wanted to view was all blacked out. When I complained I was told it was legally their right to do so. It was to do with industrial relations. But it was a long time ago. But under the confidentiality act we r entitled to access to records about us. The information in those records. Well that's another matter entirely. But hey don't give up just yet. I might b wrong about everything. After all my experience was a long time ago. But do try ur local member of parliament. It's free n depending on the person their input or even advice could lend further influence to a quicker result. Don't leave it up to the lawyers. Do your own enquiries into the privacy act laws. I did n got results. It's about empowering yourself. Maybe then the lawyers won't treat you so flippently. I hate that. And so do you.
