Re: feeling triggered

@NameUnknown - rape has nothing to do with how someone dresses or their looks. It is not about sex but about anger and control. It doesn't matter your age. No one deserves to be raped.
This person in your group is obviously not very educated if she makes comments like this. Try and ignore such stupid and hurtful words. She obviously doesn't understand.
Again. You did not deserve this. Nothing you did caused this. The only person responsible - 100% responsible - is the rapist.

thanks @utopia i know that and when i first seen the post i gave her what for and so did a lot of others and i know i was not responsible for it it just really annoying and upsetting that people think this way she has taken it down now and left the group but the fact that she said it doesnt go away and the sad thing is its not the first time someone has said that around me

Re: feeling triggered

@NameUnknown. Unfortunately there are some stupid people in this world. People who think like her. A fair number of them are women. Sad but true. Some people prefer to bury their heads in the sand than educate themselves about rape and sexual assault.
Good on you for not putting up with her archaic views. Well done for telling her.
She may now get educated or at least not postccomments on things she doesn't understand.
Some women 'need' to believe these lies about women causing the rape - otherwise they will have to face the truth - that it can and does happen to anyone
