The mental health system explained

The mental health system explained

Drugging the Jesus out of people. Who have been raised to be abusers. And who are left with no other choice. Except to be victims. In the name of a better society. Leave your story below.

Re: The mental health system explained

I find medication to be really really useful to be honest. I find the main negative side effect is weight gain.
I'll agree the system is totally and completely and utterly broken, but I don't feel that everyone in the mental health system treats people like that. A lot do, but not all.

Yea I'm hearing you. I just get snappy and become very opinionated in a negative way. Especially towards the system. It's something that I've told myself several times now. And it began several years ago. And it was myself trying to answer my problems with self talk. Which looked outward and not inward for some sort of crutch or way out. It's especially bad when I'm not feeling or doing well. You could say it's apart of my illness. And I could only imagine how hard it is to deal with. From anyone's prospective.

@eudemonism....... I'm guessing you don't read my posts often?
I think 'snappy' is putting it mildly for my posts recently!
I totally get where you're coming from and I sometimes feel the same way myself. But I have to remind myself that while the system is f**ked it's not totally completely and utterly all bad. It's just mostly bad.

No I haven't read a great deal of your posts? I'm usually too concerned with my own material and issues regarding medication, life and whatnot. And how the system is dealing with me. I suppose what I'm trying to say is, I've been given no other options then to forgive for the suffering the world has caused me. And repent for the suffering I have caused. And Instead of having to deal with, all the issues people have caused me and I have caused others. Which is very based around victim and perpetrator scenarios. It's become a case of dealing with a system that sees symptoms. Diagnoses. Medicates. Treats and manages. Which becomes the sole source of my suffering through medication side effects. And never allows me to deal with the original source of the symptoms which was caused bye real life perceived and conscience based person to person issues. And was what caused the symptoms.... Which I was very susceptible to being involved with in the first place. And very weak and vulnerable against processing, dealing with and moving on from in the second place. And knowing it's done so much devastation in the third place. So the part of everyone that is against me. Is probably thinking. This is great! Does that make sense? Hence leaving me very frustrated! Because I'm suffering from side effects twenty four seven.

Yea I got told that medication reduces the swings between the highs and lows. But it also leaves people with debilitating side effects. And leaves them unable to function properly. Or look after themselves properly. And very weak and vulnerable against the mental health system. And the subjection of the paid professionals opinion. In my case. Knowing I'm alike everyone else. The highs and lows have been caused bye perceived and conscience based victim and perpetrator based scenarios. And then there is moments of getting on with life after it's all settled down. (realized it's just life) But yeah. I honestly think the system takes place of the scenario. And fills the gap with this, you have mental illness. You need medication. We have the problems and answers written in a text book. We are trained, qualified and paid. Trust us scenario. This is what you need to do for good mental health stuff. Sorry about the medication and what it does to you. It's crazy hey. Probably makes the average patient feel they in the wrong.

@Former-Member & @Bunniekins

I need the mental health system. (psychiatrists, nurses, doctors, support workers, counsellors, call centre people) that I'm trying to help myself and trying to get the most out of life. And I seriously feel that medication is hindering me and preventing me from doing this. And I don't want to be a subject to their professional opinions which have never experienced one day in my shoes. And is very clinical and methodical. I need and want them to know that I have a big list of stuff I'm trying to achieve. Which the medication is getting in the way of. I need and want them to know that I've processed, dealt with and moved on from my issues. Which were highly subjective to the influence of my family! My associates! My position in life and my outlook! And I need them to know that I want to explain that my symptoms were caused bye real life problems and issues I was going through which other people were involved in. Eude.

Re: The mental health system explained

The mental health system is like a religion. They go about preying on the weak and vulnerable. And trying to recruit them and brain wash them into living up to their expectations of what people and life should be like. And convincing them there is something wrong. Can you see how so many people could fall through the cracks of such a system? Then they train, qualify and pay ordinary people. To see symptoms, diagnose, medicate, control, medicate and brain wash. Which they just make good livings out of. In a world full of problems and angry victims. It's the perfect element of toxic factors to create a billion dollar industry. Which controls millions of people in the process. Wow! Amazing stuff!
