Thanks after 10 yrs of starting work at 5am and i need at least 1.5 hrs to get ready & in the mood to go to work then as i do split shifts do not finish last shift till 6pm by the time i get home relax have dinner it is 9ish have done this for 10 years.
But as i have been on stress leave from work 4 the last 6 months still finding hard to beak the pattern since starting gym i find myself sleeping but wake up the same time every morning then can not get bak to deep sleep

@Jamc That sounds super exhausting waking up at those hours when it isn't necassary.
I found this thread: http://saneforums.org/t5/Looking-after-our-wellbeing/Top-10-tips-to-getting-sleep/m-p/22406/highlight/true#M1067. I thought it may provide helpful tips for you to get a decent nights sleep.
Within that thread there is this link: https://www.sane.org/media-centre/the-sane-blog/1416-10-tips-for-sleep-hygiene-counting-sheep-for-adults which goes into 10 tips for sleep hygiene.
It is hard to break a cycle your body is used to for 10 years, but hopefully some of these methods can help a bit. Sleep is so important for MH!
