Re: rough time

No @outlander my regular one. My psych told me about a really good GP around my area that understand mental health. I tried to make an appt with her but she isn't taking any new clients. Like always, the good ones are fully booked. So I need to ask my psych on Wed for another one I could try.

Re: rough time

exaclty @Former-Member i have 2 medications on that list that need to be highly monitored so i can only do a week at a time or when really bad only a few days at a time. i would prefer it that way at the moment.i dont want anything enticing at all

@Former-Memberahh damn it! i hope she starts taking new clients again soon! i hope your psych has another suggestion too, hopefully one thats taking new clients

@outlander
@Former-Member,take back my judgement of you having a good gp,think you mentioned it before.
In reflection,regret ever seeking "help",had one GP when I moved away who genuinely understood he wanted to admit me,but have stayed with a few who I crapped my pants in the waiting room due to the way I was treated and made to feel like I was "bunging it on".The one I see now has no idea but is the least judgemental and respects my wish not to have meds shoved at me which I know won't solve my probs.

Re: rough time

@Former-Memberthats ok, I forget half of what people tell me on here and irl!!!

Because I am on workcover, I must see the GP regularly for work cover purposes. She is also the go to person between the work cover company, the pdoc and the psych. So even though I don't like her approach and lack of knowledge about mental health, I cannot go just see any GP.

So I can change GP, but it won't be an easy process. Will have to get everything passed over to the new GP.

Re: rough time

Understand @Former-Member,I think after my experience with a four year relationship with a mh nurse,in reflection I wish I asked to read his notes on me,as his notes were offensive to me and humiliating.The doctors who showed understanding when I needed a medical certificate for centre link would tell you what they wrote and that's how it should be and the notes should be with the client being the reader in mind...if they followed the principles including respect and self determination etc.
