Checking in with you @outlander - hope your gp visit I think it is from what I've read so far, goes well for you. Animals can hurt us even if it's not necessarily their intention to do so, I have broken bones from my horse kicking me many years ago. Of course you're angry and upset about this happening and the pain it's caused and is causing you! Goodness you've been through a whole heap of stuff.
Please do be kind to yourself as things from this injury get seen to. 
Can't stay long today, have to go to gp again - stomach still not right and can't wait until next set appointment so, got one today with a different gp again.
You look after you, and I'll look after me, and we can compare notes later maybe?!
