There is a lot of talk about how to present it to children. A lot seems to rely on managing behaviours, such as hygeine, distancing and managing fear. Knowledge of such a big reality is important for children and can also be a growth experience and lead to maturity. Dont be too hard on yourself, practise your calming protocols. It is not the sort of thing children should be prevented from knowing about completely. Monitor overexposure. I found myself getting very caught up in all the news. I take it is an example to explain to my son he needs some news intake ... to be unaware is problematic ... like lots of things in life ... its how much ... and balance.
