Re: rough time

your never ever butting in @Maggie your always welcome here.

we go through Australian hearing but this is what they've told us what happens now, maybe as you've had them for a while they don't change it for you?

pops only had them for the past 3 yrs. he got the first ones for free but he never used them and they've upgraded a lot now. I said he was on a pension etc but they still said this was the cheapest it comes 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Re: rough time

that's ok @eth you being here is enough

my procedure is on Friday next week just nervous and stressed about it. its invasive and worried about how itll react with my body. hoping it does more good then harm. I need to speak to my nurse and run it past her as well. I spoke with my gp and she thinks itll be a good option but my nurse knows me better including my past so would like her opinion as well. wondering if I can ring up the gynaecologist and ask for light sedation so can drive myself home.

Re: rough time

If pop has a health care card it should be covered @outlander . Mine are upgraded every 4 yrs.

I’ll do a bit of research. Something fishing going on. 🤞🤞🤞

I think ill meantion It when he goes to get fitted as well and see what happens @Maggie I thought it may have been covered my medicare or at least a reduced fee as well.

Re: rough time

@outlander I didn't realise it was next week. Hearing you about your concerns about it. So many situations in life where we have to weigh things up and decide if the benefit outweighs the risk. Hopefully your nurse will have good advice for you.. I'm glad you have someone who knows your history to talk about it with.

Re : driving on the day - any chance you can use a taxi instead, or is it too far away?

Re: rough time

I think she will agree with me. I don't want to go on any more meds or like the other option and this one is hidden within so I don't have to explain myself either. ive heard if it works it works really well but if it doesn't it can have awful side effects. fingers crossed itll be the good one.

um its not to far away but id rather drive myself. I don't really like the taxis in this area and its dear then putting abit of petrol in the car. I could see if someone could come with me but im not really sure its not something im sure about sharing with others...
