Re: rough time

I loved Land Girls. @Sans911 Saw it a few years ago.

Something "innocent" about the British mentality during those times.

I watched The Bletchley Circle after.

These days seem harsher even though we are not in war time. Just general attitudes.

Hugs @outlander Hope you get sleep.

House work will come and go. Look after yourself too.

A lot of women I knew raising children craved a clean stove for satisfaction.

Re: rough time

I'm seeing my pdoc in the morning, nurse will come to do my dressings and I'm volunteering at the op shop. My manager asked me to change my shifts around a little so now I'll do some Monday afternoons and some Saturday afternoons. I like it actually as sometime I want to go out Saturday afternoons.

Tuesday I go back to the plastic clinic for them to review my wounds.

Re: rough time

I do like a clean house @Appleblossom esp when i have a day or 2 to admire it.

I hope op shop goes well tomorrow and all is well with wound healing too. @Sans911

I wish i hadnt come home tbh. My welcome home from pop was 'take me to the drs tomorrow' not hello or something else.
I understand he feels abit off and has some vertigo but dont think its neccessary to be rude like that. Drs arent open tomorrow cause of public holiday so will squeeze it in on tuesday.

Re: rough time

No need to apologise @outlander. It didn't sound snappy to me. It sounded like invalidation and frustration. I don't know the complete ins and out of your relationship with your pop but honestly it seems he treats you more like a servant than family. It's sad to hear the way he behaves. And old age is not an excuse.

Re: rough time

It is frustration @Sans911 seems the only time he talks to me or any conversation we have its all about his ailments or wanting something or blaming me for something. The only time he talks normally (almost seems like another person) is when hes around well anyone but me. It is frustrating and upsetting. I do understand that atm he feels like s**t but i dont go round demanding or being rude to others.

Re: rough time

Yes, you have your own health issues but you don't snap at him I'm sure (or you might if you've had enough). I would think that sometimes it's really difficult to feel love for him or you might just want to walk away and not come back. Caring for him must be very, very difficult. Hugs to you my angel @outlander 💜 💜 💜 💜

Re: rough time

Thanks sis @Sans911 💜
No im not really a snappy person or if i am at the time there is generally a good reason behind it. I cant get snappy because he also reacts off me or the way i am meaning even when im unwell or just had enough i have to remain in a neutral state or at least appear that way.
It takes a toll definently.
