Re: rough time

You are not alone hun. We cant be there physically with you but we can be that support you deserve on here @outlander

Yes lucky D. I hope its not too late of a night. She is only 5 mins away from my house so at least I dont have to drive far to pick her up.

Tomorrow we have to go up the street. I thought I might time it for lunch time and then we can have lunch out somewhere. I think the kids would like that.

Beside walking tomorrow, what are your plans?

Hi @eth good to see you on here. My notifications have been playing up too. Perhaps a glitch in the system.

Re: rough time

@outlander I'm ok thanks. Had a day alone and am just going to join bro and sil for a glass of wine. Craving a bit of company. Will catch up with you more soon xoxo

Re: rough time

I am grateful for that support @Snowie I am lucky to be here.

im glad you don't have to drive to far when shes ready to be picked up.

having lunch out with the kids sounds like a nice idea.

just work which is where a lot of the walking is. theres 2 events on tomorrow but an hours break in between them. I don't really get as much enjoyment out of it as much as I use to so im hoping the day goes fast.

Re: rough time

Hopefully the day goes quickly for you then @outlander It is hard sometimes to go to events and be around lots of people.

What movie will you watch tonight?

I just had a quick look on tv and nothing sounds good so think I might stream a movie. Not sure which yet.

Have been watching Big Bang Theory mostly today.

Re: rough time

it is hard but its mostly really repetitive. the only real difference is the kids are different (and sometimes we have a lot of the same kids too). the main hard part is they do allow kids with disabilities like autism but none of us are trained and the parents don't communicate. most of the people who work where I am are teenagers so they really shouldn't expect them to know. one time I was there, I bent over to grab something off the floor to help the kids of the equipment (its not high more like a small jump but for safety we have a step esp for the smaller kids) so stopped paying attention for a sec and the kid made himself fall off the equipment (like literally stepped off and made no effort to help himself and landed face first) lucky he wasn't hurt but I got a big 'talking to' from the parents. turns out he is Autistic (we thought he was just shy cause he was quiet but seemed to listen to instructions) which is ok with me but apparently one thing that he is known to do is things like what happened that day but none of us were told that so we could be made more aware. now when I go I get even more nervous and feel really on edge.

im watching everyone loves Raymond atm, I just finished watching clueless. im not to sure what else ill watch tonight. my sister gave me some dvds to watch so might put one of those on.
I haven't watched bbt for a while, have been watching other tv shows. since the big winds here we haven't had any tv reception and cant for the lift of me get it to work so am going to have to talk to housing and see if they can fix it somehow. haven't been able to watch young Sheldon or anything that I normally would @Snowie

Re: rough time

That sounds like hard work @outlander especially when you are dealing with children with special needs. There really needs to be some training around this. I have been to a few professional development days to learn how to teach special needs children. It is not easy. I am sure you are doing the best you can under difficult circumstances.

Everyone loves Raymond is a good show, lots of laughs in it.

Hopefully you can get the tv reception back on soon.

We had 2 blackouts last night and S couldnt understand why he couldnt use the wifi. I had to giggle at him!!

Re: rough time

it is hard work and while I don't mind working with them its the lack of communication @Snowie the kids are free to do whatever activies they want to do during those 2 hours so we don't have each kid constantly but communication definently doesn't go astray.
I brought a box series that has 9 seasons of everyone loves Raymond so have mostly been watching that. its quite funny. I like watching the Nanny too.
lol! poor S 😛
I don't run off the nbn, ive got those small portable wifi modem thingys so can take it everywhere. I needed it when I was studying and use to take the computer with me if I had to wait for a few horses. could do 2 things at once.
