I'm having a very stressful night. Jasper is at an emergency vet as he's really sick. That also means $$$$. I have to wait a few hours to hear from them after they have done bloods and xray. Seems he might have some sort of blockage. Luckily I have a little money put away. But my foster sister thinks if he needs surgery and it's going to cost too much that I need to consider whether he's worth that cost. I know the answer to that & I'm hurt that she's suggesting he's not worth it. But she's often practical when it comes to money.
I've had a very busy day. The pdoc I saw who was covering my usual pdoc was really, really nice. I really liked him a lot. He was very genuine. He's given me sleeping tablets to try to help me get back into a routine again. And I think he spoke to my case manager to give me more support than I'm currently getting (which is virtually none).
I'd barely got home and was off to the vet with Jasper. I left him there as they were going to do some tests but apparently he got really aggressive with them. They rang me and said they didn't have time to do the tests before they closed, and they were fully booked tommorow. So they referred me to the emergency vet.
I've only just got home a short time ago. I've had a little to eat. I miss Jasper already & just want to cry, but I can't.
Sorry for the long post. I'm glad you got the procedure sorted and I hope you recover quickly. I can imagine you are probably quite exhausted tonight.

Re: rough time
Yes, I'm waiting for them to call me tonight when they have a bit of an idea of what's wrong with him.
And as much as I like this pdoc, I have been seeing my regular pdoc for almost 2years now. She's not a bad clinician so it would be fair to change. I'm OK with staying with her. It's good to know there are really lovely professionals who work in mh.

Re: rough time
I've just heard back from the vet. She's very concerned by the mass that's in his gut and wants to operate on him tonight. They're not quite sure what it is until they open him up. The problem is that it's going to cost more money than what I have. I could wait until Monday to get him to the Tafe vet, which is much cheaper. But by doing this, I risk his life all for money. I don't think I could live with myself if that happened. What an awful dilemma. I feel sick.

Re: rough time
Oh how awful! @Sans911 will the vet let you do a payment plan so she can do it tonight?
