Re: rough time

I'm going to try again lil Sis @outlander

There's always things happening here in the forums lil Sis, so I've learnt that despite the concerns I have for people here, I have to also continue supporting others and taking care of my own needs.

My connection to you is because we have many similarities as we have differences. We both withdraw & go quiet when things get extra challenging, so I know that it's not a shut out, but more a shut down. I think I'm the one that gets to decide who deserves my care & attention but I do see how it can be flipped the other way. It would take something quite devastating to have me stop caring about you. There's just something that I connect with when it comes to you, and no matter what happens or has happened, I have no desires to go anywhere yet. I've often thought about a time when I'm well, adjusted, back to some sense of normality. How would I feel about being here? I think this community is very important for mental health along the entire spectrum. I would probably stay here, but I can't answer that properly yet.

I'm glad some aspect of your health is sorted. It's just awful being so chronically unwell - totally messes with your mh as well. I can understand how you might be over it. The months are getting closer now until that'll be taken care of.

I've been a bit zoned out and bored lately too. Adulting is hard, and sometimes I just don't want to do it.

I'm still struggling with the assignment and have been given one more week so I guess I had better just crack on and do it. I'm not sleeping very well at all lately, so I've been tired and sleeping during the day. Went for a walk with my volunteer group this afternoon. I haven't been outside since Saturday.

Re: rough time

Thank you for taking the time to rewrite your post @Sans911

Gosh it can be hard to push through others' hurt sometimes isnt it. Ir seems those with mh issues ( or close to someone with mh issues too) have a higher level of compassion too. Both good and bad aspects..

Yes thats a better way to put it-shutting down. I know you and others understand that even though its not always helpful ( or even intentional) to shut down sometimes.

I love and value the connection we have even if we dont exactly know what that 'something' is that is connecting us and with others too.

I have often thought about what id do too and i think even when im well id rather stay (unless i found it was becoming detrimental to my mh) that way i could help and support others who are just starting out and share what knowledge ive learnt with those people. Admittedly i think im along way off being well but baby steps...right...

I am glad i got the second opinion. While they said almost the same thing they explained it more like the arrhythmia at this point is abit normal for my age and not something to worry about but if my symptoms worsen etc let them know and they will keep an eye on it in general. She explained that it may be the high adrenaline levels not cortisol because my heart goes from ok to very high almost instantly ( my normal hr is around 70/75 but when it peaks it goes over 110) so shes given me a beta-blocker to see if it helps my symptoms because they become rsther distressing and the symptoms itself keeps me up at night even when im calm. Plus my bp was up really high as well so its like doing 2 things at once with this med. She said she might like to investigate other causes though because she doesnt like to confirm its anxiety if there are other things to rule out.

I thought i mightve been coming down with an infection because ive been sleeping alot more and the pain isnt responding to pain meds is just this constant bad pain so ill have to go back and ask for possibly something stronger and antibiotics. Im so stressed about the op but my god i also really want the time to hurry up! 6 months to go.

Re: rough time

Sorry @Sans911 posted before i finished

Im glad that you have an extra week to do your assignment. How far into your course are you?

My certificate from the mh course i just finished came in the mail today.

I remember saying before you dont hve the best iron levels, is there a chance they are low if your tired more than usual? Is your meds stuffing around with your sleep?

Yeah im finding the days rather boring but at the same time im not up for much either so it makes it frustrating. Im glad you got out for your walk today though
