Hi @Former-Member sorry I didn't get back to you, I was away for a couple of nights camping in the bush over new year. Good luck about planning your new program. Just remember to take deep slow breaths to help calm your nerves.

@eth it starts next week but today I am meeting with one of the workers so they can get to know me a little bit and they can tell me what it's going to be like

That's good @Former-Member I always prefer to meet someone before I start with them. Mine take me out once a week. What sort of things will your worker be doing?

Well the program is a monthly group thing for people about my age, actually I am the oldest, to go do activities it's like people who have had stuff happen to them, I had to get my psych, my old ot and my doctor to write thing for me because it's all needs based and my brother is doing it too @eth there's like social workers there and all that

Sounds like a really good step in the right direction @Former-Member. Really good too that your brother will be doing it with you. I'm pleased for you.
Where I went to for New Year, camping in the bush at my brother's farm, we had an Arrente elder woman (from near Alice Springs, maybe near your family's country) staying there and she did a talk on new year's eve acknowledging the custodians past, present, and future and blessing the meeting of two rivers where we gathered. It was really special. Just wanted to share that with you. She spoke in Arrente and English and later on told me about her work keeping the language alive in schools. The lands council in Alice Springs might be a good contact for you when you get out there.
