Awpgirl's 2018 Goals & Progress

Awpgirl's 2018 Goals & Progress

Anyone else interested in sharing their goals and progress for 2018?

I find being accountable for my goals helps me achieve them. I figured using this thread could help me find others who have similar goals or just to join in with progress

So far my goals are generalised and I still need to drill down to specifics.

1. Get my narcolepsy under control.
2. Manage my medication better.
3. Reduce my use of anti anxiety medication by 1 mg a day and increase use of non medication methods to manage anxiety.
4. Start regular habit of saving money
5. Graduate from at least intermediate level of pole dance class
6. Attend weekly Lyra or Silks class.
7. Start and continue self defence classes
8. Start to learn the cello
9. Get my driver's licence and a car
10. Complete couch to 5km running program and continue running 4 times a week
11. Go snowboarding at least once
12. Do something to overcome my social anxiety eg find a group to join etc
13. Learn to scuba dive
14. Create my bucketlist journal
15. Get my licence to shoot for sport
16. Get my citizenship
17. Turn my newly rented house into a home.
18. Don't mess things up with my boyfriend
19. Have someone to spend Christmas 2018 with

That's my general list .
The next step for me is to work out the details , incentives and dates to achieve them.

Re: Awpgirl's 2018 Goals & Progress

Hi @goodmum_badmum it's nice to meet you. I also have ADHD which is currently not being treated so I can relate.

I have a list of 101 things to make me happy. I prefer that then the term "bucketlist'. I have a whole year to achieve my goals.

In some ways I know I will achieve at least the top three
I'm definitely going snowboarding; complete the Zombie run 5k program and learning the cello

Your list is great! looking forward to potentially having a goal buddy

GOAL PROGRESD UPDATE

4. Start regular habit of saving money

I have a savings account and money smart app which records my savings goals. This allows me to have one saving account thus reducing bank fees and an app which keeps track of my seperate saving goals. I also have reminders on my phone to remind me to save when I receive income.

9. Get my driver's licence and a car

Great news on this goal. My ex husband transferred his speeding fines off my licence and has offered to give me his car of he buys a new one.alsoi have letters from my doctor's confirming I am allowed drive.

11. Go snowboarding at least once

I have purchased the last of my snowboarding gear and got them at a really good price. Boyfriend is checking his annual leave this week and we are planing to go to Japan in February or if that isn't possible back ton new Zealand in the middle of the year.

22. Join the ADF and complete my Druid apprenticeship

I have joined the ADF and ordered a book which helps me work through the process of the decicant path. This is something I am doing for my spiritual growth and to hopefully reduce dissociation by becoming closer to nature.

Re: Awpgirl's 2018 Goals & Progress

I found the most awesome bucket list journal which I am going to use to journal the bucket list items on my goal list.

I have booked my holiday to go snowboarding and am saving up for a cello and to go scuba diving later in the year.

Having a horrible mental health moment and finding the positives.
Bucketlist item #1 snowboarding in Japan is currently in progress. I am in Japan snowboarding. I am doing it even if today is a challenging moment in time
