Hi @CheerBear @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope. Thanks for your messages.
I've been around a little bit, reading but not logging on.
I'm not sure what to really say. I feel anxious and sad. I've been hiding out in the apartment, and other than leaving for work it's taking me hours to convince myself to go out and do things. Stress-eating packets of biscuits instead of dinner because I'm out of baking paper so can't cook what I've got, and can't bring myself to go to the shop. Thoughts get stuck in the anxious->sad->cause-harm cycle and it sucks.

Re: :/
Are you seeing a counsellor to help you work out why that is happening and try to shift it somewhat ?

Re: :/
I think I know why, and I don't think a counselor would have any better ideas on how to shift it than the ones I've already come across.

Are you managing some daily self-care goals ? Only answer if you’re comfortable to .....

I've been stuck in anxious loops before (lots) and I can relate to the way you described that cycle. I don't know if you are the same but I can feel really frustrated somewhere in there also. Maybe that's the 'cause harm' bit for you, I'm not sure. I start not liking myself for being stuck, and not liking the world for keeping me stuck. I want things to be different. I want me to be different.
I think it's awesome that you're able to go to work when you're struggling like you are. When you live with the kind of anxiety that makes you want to hide out, doing anything is worthy of recognition and appreciation. The 'simple' things can be so hard to do. Making a phone call. Wriring an email. Filling up a jerry can (I still shudder with that one). Going to the supermarket. They can all be so much harder than they need to be. Getting to work really is huge. Logging on here and writing about how it is for you - maybe that's another win for you there too.
I'm not feeling like I'm in a very good position to be offering any kind of 'what you could do' support right now (not that that's what you have necessarily asked for here), but I did want to reply to say I'm with you with how sucky it can be.

I think I know what to do to break the cycle, but I don't know practically how to do it.
My brain just doesn't work. I want to give up.

Re: :/
Maybe call the Helpcentre and talk it over @TheVorticon ?
They may be able to help you implement it .....

Making calls really isn't my forte. I'd just end up more anxious trying to do that @Faith-and-Hope
