Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @ENKELI ,

Hi there! It's been a while since I've seen your name. Just a quick message to let you know we're thinking of you and missing you.

How are the studies going? How are you adjusting to the family strife?

I hope your garden continues to bring you joy.

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI i’ve been thinking about you since you shared how hard things have become. i was really sorry to hear you carrying so much right now. And I’m especially sorry that it feels like God has turned against you through all these disasters. i know how terrible such can feel. i don’t believe our pain means God has abandoned us. And i know hurt never tells the truth about our worth either.

i do know that when life keeps hitting hard, anger, exhaustion, and hopeless thoughts can become very loud. I understand that more than I wish I did. But i also know your life is deeply precious. i know for sure Christ has not stepped away from you.

Pain and set backs are not our whole story. If all you can do right now is breathe, cry, rest, or simply make it through the day. Please know we love an miss you i know you are loved very deeply, deeper than you might feel right now.

keeping you in my prayers. 🤗

Re: Christian Chat

Hello lovely,

I am so sorry to hear about your son. This must be so much for you both to go through right now... how are you feeling? Is there anything you need from your forums family at the moment? @Appleblossom 💛

I am glad you were able to connect to your feelings during church, albeit vulnerable, I feel like church is one of your safe spaces?

Speaking of safe spaces, I am wondering how you might be able to care for yourself with all you have going on?

PS: Licorice Allsorts are a great start! 😋

Re: Christian Chat

Psalm 139:14 (NIV)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful,

and my soul knows it very well.

Here are a few of the most meaningful Hebrew words in this verse:

**“Fearfully” – יָרֵא (yare’)

This doesn’t mean afraid in a negative sense. It carries the idea of reverence, awe, sacred care.

→ You are made with intentional, awe-inspiring attention.

**“Wonderfully” – פָּלָא (pala’)

This word is used for things that are extraordinary, beyond human understanding, even miraculous.

→ Your existence is not ordinary—it’s remarkable and mysterious.

**“Works” – מַעֲשֶׂה (ma‘aseh)

Refers to God’s craftsmanship, His handiwork.

→ You are something God actively formed, not something random.

**“My soul knows it very well” – יֹדַעַת מְאֹד (yada‘at me’**)

“Yada” means deep knowing—not just intellectual, but experiential.

→ Deep down, beyond doubt, there’s a recognition of this truth. 💚

Re: Christian Chat

@Appleblossom I love this song. I have the Bethel version I play in my car.

@heartathome @AuntGlow @DownMoreThanUp @Realness @tyme and I know I am probably forgetting someone (my sincere apologies if I have)

I hope y'all are doing well and that you feel God's love and healing powers wash over you. I have dry carpets but very stained and stinky so it will be ripped up shortly, then eventually replaced with some covering. It's an unwanted expense but now I can choose what I have on the floor instead of grey carpet - almost as impractical as white carpet! Plus a new sofa and will throw in curtains as well. The minor renovations I was going to do now is not so minor but it will be fun choosing new stuff. I thank God that I have an inheritance coming, and that my brother has been helping out - he's just outlaid a huge sum to have the roof restored. My little house in the 'Vegas will be looking pretty once more.

I've been thinking of and praying for all of you, when we are so far down we can only look up.

God bless and huge hugs xoxo

Re: Christian Chat

Hey @ENKELI ,

Sorry to hear about the carpets! That sounds horrible! I'm guessing they will be moudly too?

May the peace of God rule and reign in your heart at this time.

Take care.

@Realness hey my dear friend. Life is fumbling along as always. I am behind on study but doing my best to catch up. I am liking the cooler weather however I am not happy my plans for gardening today were spoiled with the rain, darn it!!

I hope you are doing well and keeping safe.

Blessings xoxo

Re: Christian Chat

@tyme we managed to get the carpet dry before mould set in but it doesn't smell great! I had planned to replace the carpet with something more durable, just not this quickly lol. Plus I need a new couch so it's a bit of fun, looking at new furniture and flooring. I have to wait until I finally get my inheritance... (my sister has a lot to answer for) and I am learning that there is more to life than wealth.

So long as I have enough to cover immediate expenses plus a couple of long overdue holidays I will be happy.

The biggest decision is what colour palette I want in the living room!

My most favourite come back to my senses song. (Simply lyrics but so meaningful and in our Lord's old tongue i simply love the worship visuals. (subtitles are important at first only.))

Re: Christian Chat

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” — 1 John 4:9 (NIV)

ἐφανερώθη (ephanerōthē)

→ was revealed, made visible, brought into the light

→ carries the sense of something previously unseen now clearly displayed and undeniable

ἀγάπη (agapē)

→ self-giving, sacrificial, unconditional love

→ not based on feeling alone, but a deliberate, choosing love that acts for another’s good

τοῦ Θεοῦ (tou Theou)

→ of God

→ emphasises that this love originates in God, not in us

ἐν ἡμῖν (en hēmin)

→ among us / in us

→ can mean within human experience or in our midst, not distant or abstract

ἀπέσταλκεν (apestalken)

→ has sent, has commissioned, sent with purpose

→ a completed action with ongoing effect—God sent, and that sending still matters now

τὸν Υἱὸν αὐτοῦ (ton Huion autou)

→ His Son

→ relational and personal—not just a messenger, but His own Son

τὸν μονογενῆ (ton monogenē)

→ the one and only, uniquely beloved, one of a kind

→ emphasises uniqueness and preciousness, not replaceable

εἰς τὸν κόσμον (eis ton kosmon)

→ into the world

→ into the human, broken, ordinary world—not kept separate from it

ἵνα (hina)

→ so that / for this purpose

→ introduces God’s intention, not accidental but purposeful

ζήσωμεν (zēsōmen)

→ we might live, truly live, have real life

→ speaks of spiritual, full, restored life, not just existence

δι’ αὐτοῦ (di’ autou)

→ through Him

→ life comes by means of Him, not independently

God’s love is not abstract but revealed through action: He sent His perfect Son into the world so that humanity might receive true life through Him. This verse shows that love originates with God, is demonstrated through sacrifice, and results in life for those who receive it. 🙏
