But I still feel so ill from the medication change and its been 2 weeks. I went to see the GP yesterday and they said, give it another week but I dont think I can hang in there.

Re: med change

I'm not sure where I am, how I am. I'm just lost and a bit broken. I saw my psych last night and some of it felt helpful and I felt a bit better last night but now today none of it really seems to matter anymore... Things are bad and just I feel like there's no point to anything anymore sorry

Re: med change

Hi @Former-Member. It sounds a like your mood is lifting sometimes, as when your psychiatrist said some things that felt helpful. But then at other times you are more down and can't remember what was positive from those moments. I relate to these kinds of cycles where it can be hard to 'keep up' the positive things all the time and it can feel like we are sinking. It's also understandable that you are struggling given everything you are going through.

As to whether there is any point to things, it's a big question in general and one that I've struggled with for a long time, lacking a sense of purpose. At my best times I know that life has a meaning in and of itself beyond all purposes. I also try to remember those closest to me and how much my life means to them. In your case, this would be your children, who you continue to care for through it all.

Are there anythings you can turn to that are positive about today for you? For example, can you at least congratulate yourself on the small but crucial things like getting the children off to school/kinder and doing the many other things you do to look after them and yourself every day? I struggle with these things to a huge extent even without the stresses on me that you are carrying, so to me what you are achieving daily despite it all is awesome.

I totally understand if these thoughts are not helpful in your current state of mind. But I am listening and care what happens to you, LJ. Really hope the mood picks up for you today.

Sorry guys I'm just tired. It will be ok, there are lots of support people in place Anne the only other support here would be hospital and I can't do that as there would b no one for my kids and you're right the point is keeping my kids safe

@Former-Member, I'm relieved to hear that you have perspective on your current situation, and that you are probably feeling flat due to tiredness/fatigue.
Of course I wanted you to be able tot speak to someone if you should need, given that the option to attend somewhere is limited for you tonight.

Re: med change

Sweet @Former-Member

It took my many years to replace my Mother with another who didn't openly abuse me like she does. I get this from my Psychotherapist .....she knew I needed a mother.

Please know Lj , I think about you during the day doing my stuff. I cuddle Arlo and smile when i think of what a good mum your being. Can Sane Forum 'Mums' fill in until another better one appears in your life ?

You are cleverer than me. You are managing better than I ever did
Although I don't want any of my past life to have changed, I can see your more evolved and I'm so proud of you

Anne
