Sister Withdrawing

Sister Withdrawing

I live with my sister who has battled depression since mid 20s after a miscarriage. Theres survived a few suicide attempts and self harm & hospital admissions. I'm not officially her 'carer' as such but I care a lot. Actually worried at the moment as she's withdrawn a lot, teary and not eating, not talking much, not showering and won't take calls
Not sure if I should just wait for it to pass as I think its related to an anniversary related to a major loss a few years back, but with her history it frightens me I might lose her. Its been 6yrs since her last mental health admission and I thought she was going good but this last couple weeks, its bad. Just looking for advice, thanks.

@silhouette Hallo!

Sometimes it takes a while to get many responses. It is good you came back because then it is easier to get noticed.

Its not an easy road you are on and its is important that you get support too, when you need it.

@Shaz51, my special friend, what is MDD?

Hello, @silhouette....how are you? It's very nice to say hello......

I am in Western Australia and have a gift of putting myself under the stress of too many things happening in my life while caring for my husband who diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia.

He isn't doing so good, it's been like this for about two years....so I enrolled in Open University for one class......

I think your doing a sterling job with your sister. I've been catching up on the reading here.

Just to let you know @silhouette I completely agree with everyone else here:

@Shaz51 @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @Adge @Former-Member @Former-Member @Mazarita

It's rare that a family member like a sister would be doing so much.

We are here for you okay. We are a sweet bunch of people. ..... surviving this carer life and living with Mental health issues......if I must write this myself.....
