Random posts bug

This is an update on the problem I posted about some time ago at the start of this discussion thread. Just to let you know the problem is still happening after all this time.

I have now noticed that the problem seems to be arising because the links in the 'Latest Posts' section on a member's profile page are taking us to 'first unread post' instead of the actual post that the link is meant to be linking to.

I can visibly see that these links are currently going to 'first unread post' because those actual words appear in a link that flashes up momentarily in the address bar before the post in question comes up.

For example, at the time of writing the first post in your 'latest posts' on your profile page flashes up momentarily as:

saneforums.org/t5/About-the-forum-including/Security-of-site/m-p/420125/jump-to/first-unread-message#m2307

You can see that the link is going to the 'first unread post' in that thread, which for me is my own first post in the discussion. It should be taking me to your latest post in the thread.

Hope this makes some sense to you or someone. May be useful information for your tech support in fixing this problem.

That is very clever that you figured that out @Mazarita. It bugs me too that it takes me to what I thought was a random page on the thread. I hope the very clever IT dudes can solve the issue.

Of course, I was so clever in that post I forgot to tell the techs that I am on PC desktop using latest updated Chrome browser ( @NikNik ).

It seemed that this was a consistent problem for all orgs / companies using this forum platform.

The platform was recently updated to iron out this bug. I haven't had the same issue since, but let me know if you have.
