Re: time

Hi @William1

I like music and living things too.

The only meet up I have been to so far was a salsa dance class.

It was fun and I might go back when I get free time.

Re: time

Hi @William1, It is nice to meet you.

You asked what people do with their time. Well...I tend to spend far too much time here in Forum Land! Other than that, I super like playing my violin (I'm not sure if my neighbours like it so much!!!), doing yoga, and playing in my garden. I also have a once-a-week volunteering gig that I super enjoy.

I have browsed through the list of meetup groups online but I have never got brave enough to actually go to one. They do sound like a cool way to meet people who share common interests though. If you were to go to one, what sort of group do you think you would like to go to?

I think I read in one of your posts that you are 29 years old, is that right? If so, you might like to explore this thread that @MDT started just the other day: Under 30s thread.

I hope you are enjoying finding your way around Forum Land.

Re: time

Hi @William1 and welcome to the boards! 🙂

I am often found surfing the internet for all matter of things. Lately, I've taken up doing free online short courses in a variety of different subjects. I've done things from Foundations of Psychology to Antartic Marine Biology. We have a study thread in which several members of the forums have signed up for these types of courses. I find them interesting and while they don't count towards actual course credit, they are a fun way to pass the time (plus you learn something new).

I tried meetup groups in the past but kept meeting the wrong kinds of people. I also met a few people in the past from in-person support groups, but unfortunately again, they were the wrong kinds of people to be friends with. I therefore only stick to people I know really well and of course, here.
