I'm so sorry to hear about this incident. Totally unfair - as @@outlander and @Zoe7 have said, you should always be proud of your heritage. Indigenous Australian culture is rich and beautiful and should never be disrespected ESPECIALLY on Aussie land. Some people are just angry little monsters with their own pain and hurt and they choose to let it out on others.

Please remember not everyone is like that and what @Zoe7 and @outlander have said is dead on - people who do this shit usually have problems themselves that they haven't resolved.
I know words on a screen probably are not much consolation for you, but i hope you see that you ought to be proud of your heritage in the same way that everyone else is. Also, experiences like that can have a lasting influence on people's perception of themselves and it does damage. But please try to remember that you dont need to give those asshats the time of day by letting it get to you to a point where you feel ashamed. You are a good man !
