under 30s thread

under 30s thread

thought it might be cool to get everyone under 30 years old to share their experiences on the forum
just to help each other with "young people stuff"

Re: under 30s thread

nice @melbournegirl
it's 'going' but i don't know if it's good or not... tbh I'm more worried about what comes next so today I am job hunting for ANYTHING that might fit the bill. Fun times. I'd rather hide away and do nothing but that won't solve it.
are you studying nursing/medicine or similar are you ?

Re: under 30s thread

yeah i'm doing something medical related @MDT

what kinds of jobs are you looking for? i know what you mean about wanting to hide and do nothing.

Re: under 30s thread

souns good @melbournegirl
atm i am looking for both temp/part time roles and also career stuff (such as graduate programs etc).
time is kind of my side given i am 24 but i want to do it now so that my mental health improves.
Trying to sort my life out and trying to get my MH on track is like trying to pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time. The 2 things are so interwoven its impossible to fix one without the other.

Re: under 30s thread

it's great that you're being proactive and looking @MDT you were studying international relations right? i dont know much about it, is there a particular area within international relations that you're interested in?

i'm also trying to sort my MH out right now. im starting to think its more than anxiety/depression im dealing with and i had a small window where I felt motivated this afternoon so i booked a GP appointment for sunday...

Re: under 30s thread

yeah @melbournegirl i was doing that but idk what to specialise with.. maybe policy or education not too sure yet.. i see a lot of people in their 30s who are messed up
good work getting a gp appointment too because that can be tough trying getting motivated

Re: under 30s thread

btw i meant people who studied and finished and buggered about for too long.. not just anyone in their 30s.
