Sometimes that is really true @Former-Member That people even in the helping field cannot get the intensity of some of our stories. I have large anger issues but also a lot of strategies to manage it, but to some people it can be scary even when I feel that I am no danger and it is just words.
Anger is usualy there for a reason and the trick is finding the ways that suit you to channel it and manage it, but also use the energy for you to achieve your goals.
I am glad you are here. I like your profile pic.

I think @Former-Member has some indigenous connections.
My first friend at 7 yrs old in the orphanage was indigenous and my dad had lots of indigenous mates from his orphanage.
I have Irish/Austrlian/Dutch history but feel strongly that we are all simply mixes of different cultures and need try and get along.
When we were in silent protests for the Royal Commission a lot of Stolen Generation would stand with us.
Sometimes there is no difference. We are all just people.
But sometimes it is important to face the differences as to overlook them makes things worse.
It is great that a few younger people are getting on board this forum.
We need the diversity.
