Update things have gotten worse

Update things have gotten worse

Since being hospitalised in a mental health part of the hospital

Community mental health refuses to support me (like the admitting psychiatrist that discharged me promised) even when suicidal when CMH rang to discharge me stating they refuse to help same a week after the hopsitalisation and the same day my GP stated there is no avenue for help as I exhausted everything and refuses to handle medications (like the admitting psychiatrist that discharged me promised) as he sees they wont help, refuses to refer me to a psychiatrist as pointless as he is a senoir GP with mental health level 2 training so he can prescribe but refuses to. Refuses to even look at even a mood stabilser even told me psychotherapy was pointless as I have tried that for years and I am out of options.

So between the GP appointment and CMH discharging me on the phone and refuse any future support I lost it on the phone and told them my plan on suicide as no one will help me they came and took me to another MH hospital and confiiscated the planed item the hospital then discharged me as soon as CMH left without support and a few days after was again discharged on the phone from CMH.

Had a dissociative episode in my Mental Health Nurse Practitioner's office (thursday 2 weeks ago)to the point a psychiatrist he works with and someone else was in the middle of calming me down as i have no idea what happened during dissoication) Found out last Thursday I have to have all future appointments in the middle of public in Sydney CBD as he is unwilling to risk his job (even though I have anxiety disorders and PTSD in that part of the city which he knows about)

On Friday I tried (even with phobia with phones)

Tried ringing local community mental health for support as Mental Health Nurse Practition is trying to make me dump him to save face CMH refused to talk to me after I gave my name as they stated I am discharged cant help so I emailed this to my disability advocate by the looks of thing is even refusing to help.

Re: Update things have gotten worse

Community Mental health just rang and adjitated me stating I am not their issue that I am the gp's issue and as long as I have even 1 support they will refuse to think about supporting me. I asked why they are going against policy I have been told about at the hospital (friday nite and MH Nurse practitioner and what have I done wrong that I can't get support in the community even mentioned I was forced by MH Nurse practitioner to go to hospital due to safety concerns he had over the phone they didn't care told them I was supressing suicidal thoughts which come out when too adjitated she didn't care.

I am sick of playing this political game and not sure how much more I can play it for

Hey dear @sjpersonal,

You poor sweetie. I understand you have been given the run-around by Doctors and the Mental Health Team.

It appears that your Doctor is not really helpful and not listening to you. I would go to another Doctor and maybe another until I was satisfied that you had a good rapport with them and that they were supportive in prescribing you medications you need. I have been discharged By Community Mental Health psychiatrist and I see my Doctor for my anti-psychotic and sleeping meds and other meds for cholesterol and drug induced diabetes and now hypertension. My Doctor is a good Doctor and a Christian like me. He listens to me and he even does home visits. Last week I phoned him about my blood test results and he graciously came around after work and gave me a print out of my blood work. That was very good of him. I think with his normal home visits, it is bulk billed fortunately as I have been poorly with blood sugars.

Moreover, I also get home help in the form of cleaning and social support and meals on wheels from an organisation like Ozcare. Ya, so look into theses supports, meals on wheels is a seperate organisation too and only $9.50 where I am for a 3 course meal- main meal, sugar free juice, soup and a dessert. These supports might lesson your load sweet @sjpersonal. They've really been a wonderful help to me as I have no family support.

You can call Lifeline Counsellor free from any mobile 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They can look up organisations and help with any referrals that you may need. They are an excellent service to listen to any problems you may have and are very kind and caring.

All the best sweetie @sjpersonal. Bless you. Your friend BambiFawn.

Hello @sjpersonal

just wanted to say hello..

I can see that you have had a response which is what we all want

you have had an extremely awful experience with mental health support from almost every angle..

This is dreadful in a time where mental health awareness is supposedly at the forefront..

I want to tell you that I am so proud of you for sticking to your principles and your rights despite such an ordeal that you have endured.

keep on believing in you.

I am so glad that @Phoenix_Rising has responded to you
