I'm in too much pain

I'm in too much pain

Mentally and physically. I cannot do this any longer. I don't see my therapist until Thursday. I feel like that is the only person I can talk to truly about my disorder. I just want to be normal. I want to stop thinking people are out there trying to get me. I'm tired of feeling like this world is not real. Everything somehow feels connected. I need help. Maybe it's because I don't really take my night meds anymore. I just want the thinking and pain to stop

Hello @Soccergirl It sounds like you are in a really dark place right now. It was a relief to me when I found the forum because here I can talk about my mental illness. I feel like there are very few places where it's ok to do that. There is a lot of acceptance and support from people who are more likely to understand, or at least are willing to let you say what you want or need to say. When on Thursday do you see your therapist? It sounds like maybe they are supportive.

@frog Thursday at 3. I live in the US. I hope that's okay. I did read the guidelines and it did state US. I just can never again even to my closest friend talk about my psychosis. I just wish I knew if this world was real and not in my head

I also find it hard to talk about my mental illness @Soccergirl. I have Bipolar 1, which I have told a few people, with mixed results. As part of that I had a humdinger of a manic episode, became psychotic and ended up in a psych ward. I don't tell anyone in real life about that. It is too far from what most people experience and understand, and I don't want to scare them away. It even scares me when I think back on it. Real/not real got really blurry and I felt like I had no point of reference. I'm sorry it's so hard for you.

Hi @Soccergirl,

It is super nice to "meet" you, although I'm sorry to hear you are struggling so much. I know how super hard it can be waiting to see the one person who you feel you can genuinely talk to. It is 9:30pm on Wednesday night where I am in Australia, so I'm guessing it is super early Wednesday morning in your part of the world? Do you have any plans over today and tomorrow until you can see your therapist?

Will you be able to talk to him or her about whether it might be the reduction in medication that is making things particularly tough at the moment?

I hope you can at least feel supported here in Forum Land. There is ALWAYS someone around to chat to - especially on this thread: Good morning. Don't let the title fool you, there seems to be people there all day long. Alternatively, due to the time difference, you might find this thread a good place to hang out and chat if you are looking for some company: Night shift.

I super hope your session with your therapist goes well on Thursday @Soccergirl, and I hope to see you around here in Forum Land.

@Soccergirl I need to sleep now, but you are in my thoughts. There are people here who care. When I'm really struggling sometimes I just need to retreat and be by myself, but I also like to wander around the forum and see what's happening. It makes me feel less alone. Take care, frog.
