I couldn't take that either won't have pap smears because I am self conscious about the impact of weight on those parts!lol or cry.The doctor did an examination down there once when I was menstruating when I was your age.Havent had it since.Something went wrong there today in the duty of care to you.

@outlander - I can honestly say when I hear nurses talk like that I'm am ashamed of my profession. It's deplorable and unprofessional. And I'm sorry you to had to hear that on top of everything else you have been through today. It sounds so traumatic. Could you ring KHL or SCBS. Hospital might help if you get another unsympathetic nurse or doctor. I'm sending you a Big Sis hug.

@Former-Memberthats your choice in what you want to do in that area. ive had it done this the second nope 3rd time. one was for the actualy smear, second one was an infection/ period problems and now this one. the second one of all things i had my period that day but it still went ahead. its gross. but i still think its important to get tested

@Sans911its not you so dont worry about it too much- coming from someone who just said the same bloody thing. your a great nurse. i know it and can feel it.
i didnt need this pain and irritation to go on top of everything though and i definently didnt want to hear that esp since at that point i was question my own safety
thanks sis i really need those 
ive already called a helpline twice today. hospital is an option but i dont want the backlash for afterwards. that causes just as much distress.

@Former-Memberi did trust her. thats why i let her well basically do the internal one twice one for her and one for the trainee. it might take more trust next time and i dont know if ill go through with it on wednesday

@outlander-please continue to talk to us here tonight. I could use the distraction myself as it was an upsetting appt with the psychiatrist.
And ring the helplines again and again if you need to. I've been told by them to call every hour if I have to get through safely
