That's great to hear that the girls are so excited @outlander, I am a Christmas lover but I know it can be such a hard time of the year for people too. I love the excitment from the kids and how pretty everything looks decorated 
Sounds like you and your Pop are finding your own ways to celebrate, so lovely 🙂

Yeah ive been playing along with it and the teenager for ages now @Former-Member its different when the magic fades isnt it.

Xmas is a hard time for m as i had alot of things happening for me but i try to block it out.
It also means pretending im ok in front of people i rarely see so they can have a p**s up
But kids are excited . I go along with it.
My mums an xmas person. Im surprised she doesnt have the tree up already even in the new house! @Former-Member
She is currently dressing up our dog in a xmas tree costume!

Ok so you can buy this thing called Elf on the Shelf (on line or I think places sell them now). I got mine from ebay. There is a book that goes along with it. So the Elf appears on Dec 1st. Then everynight it goes and reports to Santa how the kids are, if they are behaving, being nice, etc, and comes back to a different position.
So from 1Dec to the 25th Dec the kids hunt around the house every morning looking for the Elf in various places. There are lots of facebook pages to give you ideas.

@Former-Member if you believe in God I respect that but respect my non beliefs as well.I believe in something as stated, but last thing I need to hear at the moment is comfort from "God"-not help.
