Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

pay $40-50 and get warranty @plasmo ? if have to do 2nd hand, check models , some stuff over 20 years old, ie worthless. bit like old fridges and tvs in 1990s pay bit less than new for 20-30 years old if dont do homework, aircons the same still these days people wanting $100 for 40 yo ones prob not worked properly in 30 years

The top brands offering these replacement programs include:
  • Ozito: Offers a 5-year replacement warranty on all their Power X Change angle grinders, as well as a 3-year warranty on the batteries and chargers.
  • RYOBI: Offers a 6-year extended replacement warranty (4 years standard + 2 years extended) on cordless angle grinders when registered online within 30 days of purchase at My RYOBI. You can review full terms on the RYOBI Warranty and Standard Replacement Warranty pages.
  • AEG: Offers an extended 6-year warranty on tools (3 years standard + 3 years extended) and a 3-year warranty on batteries when registered within 30 days of purchase (purchased exclusively through Bunnings). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

seems only for cordless now. id check, plus dont by 2nd hand unless try it out. i bought old welder in 90s got it home would run for 10seconds and conk out ha ha ha lol
