Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Mazarita

Thanks for the clear instructions. That will be a job for tomorrow night.

I've had a really sh1tty day and I'm about to hit the sack and lick my wounds. I really should have stayed in bed today. It would have been far more profitable thsn the non work I did today.

Ten more m7ns and I'm off for a peaceful nights sleep.

Hugzzz

Re: Night Shift

Thanks @Mazarita
What I've got to do is adopt a much better attitude tomorrow. I allowed a rather dominating personality get under my skin today which was really dumb.
Tomorrow I will sail through the day with a smile and a yes sir, no sir approach which actually means I'll do things my way which will result in the same outcome. A bit of logic goes such a long way.
The point is that I'm as good as or better than the rest of them!

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

Glad you are getting support from the school. It has taken a long time for the structures to be put in place.

Too late to help my daughters or my son.

I am tired of my children taking pieces out of me ... very very weary of it ... the question of where to draw the line has always been tricky for me.

Happy Birthday @eth.

I have been reading all the posts. My psychiatrist thinks I had a heart attack. Tomorrow I have a stress test.

I get so tired and uncoordinated with the meds I am still finding it hard to type.

I am sending good vibes to all of you @Decadian @Draco @Former-Member @eth @PeppiPatty @Former-Member @Jacques @BlueBay @MoonGal @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51

Dear @Jacques and @hiddenite

Re: Night Shift

Thanks @Mazarita I've taken my medicine tonight, so writing becomes difficult, but I'm not particularly sleepy. It can be so frustrating as I connect with lifeline etc but I'm too tired to hold a meaningful conversation. So I say a few things and then say thanks a disconnect. I can't count the number of times this has happened.

Re: Night Shift

@Angels333, take it easy on yourself with the typing. Maybe try some deep breathing to help you relax into sleep? Hugs.
