Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

..yeah me either on a few dift levels re nostalgia @plasmo shocked to hear beach property for $140k ha ha had a chance to really change my life 20 years ago as well, didnt work. Was better off then than am now in a lot of ways despite not being able to improve my lot.

I got $240k inheritance around xmas @plasmo already blown $2000 in lost interest, just getting it int ok enough place now . Was a lot harder than I thought with transaction limits and commbank not wanting to give me new customer rate which is about what getting at new place, half the money in there already, the last bit today. will get triple the interest was getting, well its like $200/wk else wouldnt bother.

guess main thing atm is need to move to SA before buy thinking dunno , SA have a few friends vs none anywhere else, plus can still afford some things ok in the country ha ha

yeah i went through that sitting on too much cash once. these days i don't save enough to worry, end up putting it in shares. bit over the time and brainpower i waste on it.

had 1/10th of that a few times before, never had longer than 6 mths, I'd spend it, well live on it. I'd take 4 months off over summer, never used to look at prices or comparison shop , had credit card never paid off etc etc @plasmo lol be glad when I get a place and dont have to worry about it anymore , just keep $30k in case

yeah i've gotten a bit slack and spend a bit, used to be really tight. still got to fix up stuff before i do anything, been to exhausted lately

yeah bit bored with it, these days i find excuses to go to the shops to buy stuff. broken the habit lately at least
