Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

@TAB @plasmo

sorry i didn't reply at the time, i was watching some things although i'm still miserable. also feeling awful with sinus and fatigue, insomnia. i should see a gp but it's hard getting in to see one and they just make me feel like i'm a burden, for mental and physical health.

hello plasmo.

Re: Night Shift

@TAB yeah it's just painful. i've tried things for the sinus from the chemist but it's not helping. i guess i'll have to see a gp eventually. i've never really liked going to doctors.

Re: Night Shift

@TAB true sadly. i'm guessing they'll refer me to some specialist, atleast that's what i'm hoping for. never seen a specialist for that stuff before so i'm not sure what to expect, same with a gp for sinus stuff.

Re: Night Shift

i started watching a country practice.. out of nostalgia.. and most things i'm into are all technical and analytical, i drive myself mad thinking so escapsim may work.

Re: Night Shift

@plasmo oh right. i feel the same about escapism. i'm sitting here in bed getting eaten up by my emotions and wanting to contact that person i talked to (mentioned in my own thread) again because i was told by helplines and others that i should try. i'm so confused.

i haven't watched any of those old aussie shows. i watched a bit of home away back when the braxton brothers were on it but other than that i haven't watched any aussie stuff.
