Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Cool, @Shaz51. I really like dragonflies but had never seen one so close up before.

Re: Night Shift

Dearest @Appleblossom There is this awesome great book by Jennifer Rutherford called "The Guache Effect," that majorly influenced me in 2004.......the author....... writes about the aggression in Australian Society......it is so so good........probably looking at some reviews will basically give you a synopsis of the book...Ille try and dig out any old notes I have on it. So relevant on what you write........ But I need to just......calm down and ask for advice. The last couple of weeks has been building up to a crescendo of high anxiety in my little life. My mum is being .......unbearable and incredibly aggressive. What can I do? I can't get away from her, she lives in my life, I have just met this amazing woman who is working on some artwork with me who she's a friend of. I've been noticing the changes in me since this started when I was first born. She has always ripped me to shreds in front of people who I am interested in becoming friends with and it's happening again. I wanted to catch up with someone who was a major person in my life and my families........and I did but she "Took over' and now, if I turn up..I am so scared of her. Usually, I just go to bed for a long time. Freaking out. Yell at my husband...can't bear hearing or seeing anything good for me. Now, I'm working on cleaning out cupboards, dialoging with my husband (hard) trying to stay with the things to do. Breathing deeply. She is going to make me out to be someone very bas in front of this person

@Shaz51 Am I allowed to show this pic to my son? He's 25...going through a bit right now......He has lived experience.....he lives in Brisbane.......Hes been talking to me.he's had love problems. He would absoloutely ......like like this. We used to have pet stick insects when my kids were growing up.

THis pic means something to me. I'm not coping very well today. It's been difficult for a little while now......my poor husband has been coping with my emotional ....trying to get through .......I'm so much better than I was when younger.

This pic.....

feels sensetive but the image isnt...do you know what I mean??
