Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Hi @Jacques, hope you feel better soon

Re: Night Shift

Thank you @Shaz51, i have been pushing myself, i went out 3 times last week, i just went past my limit and am feeling the consequences, i will be fine, i will settle soon enough.

That is nice, youtube is awesome for helping de-stress, you should join him, it is good to laugh, even when you don't feel like it.

Wow a heat wave, it is freezing here, we just got a years worth of rain here in 4 hours, so it is nice to get some rain, it does not rain here often.

The garden is loving it 😄

Re: Night Shift

Hi @PeppiPatty, I will keep you posted on how it goes with trying to see this new psychologist. Yes, I am applying for one half day a week at one of the local op shops. Just have to get the reference organised and then I'll be taking in the forms.

Hi @Jacques, great message about keeping moving no matter what. It sounds like you have done really well getting out three times last week. It's natural that you may need some recovery time. I too get very tired from the anxiety and nervous energy I carry with me in every day life and often need to take some time out to recover too. Hope the panic attacks calm down soon for you and that sleep returns to give you some replenishment. Great to hear you have had some rain, even if it came down in bucketloads and gave you leaks. Sounds like it's much needed where you are. I agree with Shaz that it would be great to see you getting back into the model ships.

Hi @Shaz51, now you've got me wondering what you are watching on YouTube and why you hubby is laughing! What a lovely hobby your hubby has doing timelapse photography.
