hello everyone, im not really sure what im after. advice.. support...guidance.....

im a carer for my pop and has had to have a test done that was orginally thought a thyroid problem as hes had those in the past but since then have discovered a lump on his pancreas so hes jsut had one of those ct things where the dyes injected and now just awaiting results. and then he went to the drs today and now they want to do a lung biopsy. hes not too worried about it but im doing enough worrying for both of us and more.

Re: worried

@Shaz51I remember you went to the funeral. 52 is too young to die in this day and age. I was shocked when I heard that my cousin died. SHe was only 3 years younger than me and a decent one but like me she was in the poorer socioeconomic part of the family. The richer family members orchestrated things so I did not gind out about it til a couple of years later and I had to ask her brother to send my regards. Grrrr ... those aunteeees.

I was responding to @outlander and thought that @outlander was not putting herself in the picture of being affected by the grief, but feeling overloaded as if ... making things alright .. was ALL her job.

Grief takes time to process ... and once we have experienced a loss of a significant other .. it is with us til we die ... processing goes subconsciously too.

Re: worried

Hey @outlander just been reading through some of the posts on this thread. I wanted to check in with you and see how you are doing, and how is your pop? (Excuse my ignorance but pop is your grandpa, yes?)

We are all doing the best we can - that is what I remind myself too.

I care for my mum who is 73 years old. She is slipping downhill with her depression but just doesn't see it atm. She has other physical health conditions too but her depression is rearing its ugly head atm. She can't see it though - I'm feel stuck as to what to do. I saw her psych today and he suggested increasing her meds. She wont do it though. She digs her heels in and the more stern I am with her, the worse it is grrr
